Looks impressive, price is very reasonable. Maybe they'll make adaptors for other enlargers or can be DIY'd. If it works as advertised would look forward to an 8x10 solution. From the tech specs and description:

B/W contrast filters from 00-5 (past 5 displays white light for use with external filters)
Filters for CMY colour balance built-in
USB port for future firmware updates
Manual brightness adjustment for B/W mode
Built-in safelight in B/W mode
Save current time settings in B/W mode

The LED lights are perfectly calibrated for printing and everything is controlled by the [included] timer/control unit. It has the CMY colour balance controls built-in and contrast filters for black and white so you don’t need to use external filters. There is also a built-in safelight for black & white printing.

In the latest generation of hardware, we have introduced more manual controls for the user. It has the option of saving time settings in black/white mode and adjusting the output strength of the light. There is also a wider range for the colour balance controls allowing for more experimentation.

I bought my Devere in 2 pieces

They can be wall mounted, but also have a very heavy cast iron bed that makes it bench mount with hand controls front

They have tons of micro adjustments for, you know....precision

The only issue is their grease which dries up and makes both adjustments notchy as the ball bearings

skip over hard grease. I will degrease outside on a hot day and regrease...easy

The new head needs the giant counterweight they are including, to balance the counter springs

I used a barbell to tame my beast

Interesting how much of a copy my 10X10 FOTAR was/is of the DeVere, just scaled up with no safeties....initially....

I am not positive but from pics I think a 504 DeVere main tower component is used on the same basic Tower of Springs....ie 507 and 1010

In case any Made in England compatriots worry, I rode Made in England moto bikes for decades

I'm missing bits and pieces from my 504 but it sure is tempting to get one of those LED heads to use along side my Beseler 45v-xl 810 or stop using my Beseler hahaha

Not to get too far off-topic but what lens are using with the 45v-xl 810? I'm setting up a wall-mounted 45v-xl now with 8x10 (all-white) LED head from Klaus Lundsgaard in Denmark. Filters will work but RGB LED's (someday) would be nice, thus my curiosity and will keep an eye on Intrepid (or perhaps contemplate replacing the white LED's and adding some kind of controller and appropriate power supply -- not that I have more than a minimal idea of what I'm talking about).

Ha! If a Devere showed up and I could afford it I'd jump.

re. Fotar: Have one at work (campus community darkroom but, afaik, rarely used because of the noise and few students are using anything beyond 4x5). Huge center column. 10x10 negative carriers are great, btw.
