Free Irfanview does inversions too. Renaming files, changing resolution, cropping, converting from one photo type to another such as tiff to jpeg or pdf etc, and simple edtis are very easy. It also allows you to open Windows Paint to annotate pictures. I also use it for editing screen captures. Just paste the capture into the Irfan photo file and off you go. You can also use it for watching video files.

I use Irfanview all the time to prep photos for posting on the web especially.
