I cringe when I see my Adobe bill. It's not my cup of tea. However when I need something, it's there and I can usually figure it out. Subscriptions suck the money that's for sure.

And yet Adobe bought Figma (UI/UX prototyping tool) which kind of shows where they want to put their trust for the long term. I see Canva as a product aimed at the social media producing individuals vs Figma is aimed at Business users. I have a love/hate relationship with Adobe. Love their products, hate their pricing model. When they bought ColdFusion from Macromedia they almost killed it, but the latest versions are much more powerful and friendly than most other App building tools for database driven sites. Card and brochure design sites tend to come and go. Its the creative minds behind the designs that add value or run into limitations of the tools.

I have finally got my new Mac working again, after an hour onlive with my paid MAC service

I will pay the $10 per month for PS

Just learned how to use my iPad 6 camera with Instax Printers making FAR better prints than ANY other GizMOE!

John, it appears there are a number of free web services to do image inversions, for example: https://invert.imageonline.co/ Maybe this would be of use to your students?

I just tried Canva to create a simple halloween card for social media.

Limited the color sections for text to the background image colors - no opacity or tonal controls
The motion effects were kind of cool if they actually work on a browser
Decent number of available fonts.
Popup ads for the pro edition everytime you touch something that isn't free.
Very limited tool for free version. Mostly things you could accomplish with MSPaint or any basic card creator.
