Hmm Six sections. Unless you place high value on the compactness when folded, consider the hassle of unlocking all five twist-locks, even if they are well designed (I have a Sirui 4-section CF tripod).

I do value compactness, I am no longer in any hurry

FLM also sells a HD mono

Since I have a HD FLM tripod, which is my favorite, I maintain brand and construction

Also more spots where things can come loose if not properly locked down. And the bottom section tends to be pretty flimsy.

I have one of these and like it a lot.

I didn't like the foot and replaced it with a simple rubber knob.

    Re: ISO Monopod Suggestions

I purchased a Giottos branded 3 section monopod many years ago for use with my DSLR + 100-400lens. It had a bigger upper dimension than the CF offerings due to a nice pad which fit my hands well and has no flex in the thinnest section. I prefer twist locks vs snap locks. I even found a foot that goes from rubber to spike with a few turns of the rubber part, but the original wide foot on it was useful too.
The magic you are looking for is in the work you are avoiding.
