Thanks for pointing this film out. Just got some (2014 expiration). Tried cutting some in the dark, for 8x10 (8 x 9.5 to be precise). After making a template, cutting goes smoothly enough. I tried taking a few shots, including some with a Hoya r72 IR filter. The Wood effect is definitely there. Here's one at ISO 6:

    Hi Jeff,

This looks really cool. Definitely Infared look to it. May I ask what developing scheme you used? 82 US Cents a sheet for 8x10 Infared. Not bad at all. It has a tonality similar to the 70mm Aviphot 200 perfed I got fresh from Germany. With that I have used ROLLEI SUPERGRAIN, there are instructions on the bottle for Aviphot 200. So Rollei recommends it for Aviphot 200!

Type AM74 developers are not easy to find information on.

    Everybody,
I think Infared Goggles will be useful for in the dark cutting. What are the ones ^^^ posted above, and what's a good choice for a good price? They seem to be all over the place on Ebay. Also, what is the little scope shown in the above photo ^^^??

So I still need to load up big holders. I have eight olde Sinar Norma 18x24cm holders in great shape I'm going to use with the Aviphot 200. So just one cut necessary. A contact print with black border on 8x10 paper should look marvelous. I think I will try split VC printing these Aviphot negs, they are unusual looking.

Thanks Daniel. I used D76 1:1, 14min at 68f, in the Stearman daylight tank (one potential issue: a flat tank light this might not be perfect for a film that tends to curl so much-- the edges might rise above the liquid).

The IR images turned out a lot grainier this time than the non-IR ones.

    Jeff,
Would you mind posting here the other Aviphot photo I see on Flickr. That one looks REALLY interesting too! Has an interesting tonality. I assume no filter? Thanks for contributing. If it works well with D76 it should also work well in D23. I do have the stuff now to mix up the MECD4, the curve for this stuff is not pictorial but I've seen it can be tamed! I think I'll use trays

This was shot at ISO 160, also D76 1:1. No filter. These are hasty Epson 750 scans at default setting. There's a lot of optimization that could be done.

And one at ISO 100, also D76 1:1, with unfortunate crease which you warned about in previous posts.

first shot from my 5x1000 ft (12.6cm x 106.7m)roll. very high contrast scene so I used MeCD4. if you zoom in you can see what looks like black specs from the developer in the sky. this is my first time using 2 bath developer that is reused. so guess I gotta filter it or mix up 2 liters and use 1 liter and then filter after every use. regardless, the film is sharp. but boy is it thin!

this was shot with a fuji 125mm 5.6 lens with a hoya 720 IR filter.
