Intellifaucet D250 mixing valve opinions wtd

Am looking into getting a Intellifaucet D250 mixing valve. Experiences with this unit wanted before shelling out $700+ for it.
    Thanks

I’ve had mine since 2005 and really, really like it. It is simple to use, accurate, and stable. It recently developed a problem and after a couple phone calls with Mr. Hass who suggested some home remedies, I sent it in for repair. I got it back in about a week. The service charge was reasonable and the valve is working like new.

I really like mine bought new about 8 years ago

I never turn it off, installed a HASS check valve http://www.hassmfg.com/search.pl/121...?keyword=10715

    Use his filters only

    Shot this 5 minutes ago

I mounted everything on a board, which made it easy to move to my last home

I used PEX down stream, using bands and crimper

Put ball cocks everywhere, even a dead run for???

My basement rarely (never) freezes and I think copper is more prettier and more elegant than PEX and is fun, for me, to install. In small runs—I wouldn't want to do an entire house. I'm not sure what code requires here, if PEX is even allowed. I spoke with a plumber I trust who won't use plastic after seeing multiple connections fail, but that was a while ago and those issues may have been resolved.

Anyway the Hass valve is wonderful!

Great product from a Great company. I have two K250's the digital version. One I use, one's a backup (Why I have two I don't know because they don't break)!!

I have a model that, in addition to temp control, has flow control and a timer to shut it off — such as when the wash cycle is done. Couldn’t be more pleased with it.

    Thanks for the info.

In a day or two will be ordering an Intellifaucet D250 mixing valve and pair of filter housings. Still have to figure out how and where to securely mount the exiting flow control valve. Including a NOS DELTA 1 flow gauge that I have had forever. Not sure whether to include a HASS check valve before the two output hoses... one to fill bottles, etc. with and the other to either a film or print washer. Will post an image of how everything looks once it's done. Present setup is with blue and red PEX tubing. Fortunately the darkroom's temperature never gets below 60 degrees in the dead of a New England winter. Present hot and cold water faucet was a cheap one from Home Depot that I will definitely be upgrading to a sturdier unit. I can't think of a reason to include HASS check valves anywhere.... Any advice on that?

All will be pre-assembled on a 2 x 4 foot piece of 3/4" plywood. Should be so much easier to put everything together with the board on a bench instead of having to lean over the sink. Then all I will have to do is mount the board on the wall and connect up the hot and cold water. Will post an image when it's all up and running.
