    My 20x24 Camera Build

    Hi all,

I thought some folks here might like to see my 20x24 build. I built the camera during the pandemic and it's just about ready to use. I've been consumed in other projects/ dragging my feet a little since mostly finishing the camera but it's nearly at the finish line. There are some final touches to be completed (some internal felt to make sure it's light tight, installation of a large Packard Shutter, etc) which I plan to finish up shortly and then it'll be time to make some giant paper negatives and direct positives with it. Here is a short YouTube video I put together showing the camera and discussing a bit about the build.

Bravo! What a wonderful camera and I appreciated the effective presentation of how it came to be.

    Hi Francesco,

I've added your YouTube channel to a sticky thread in the Resources sub-forum called Large Format Channels on YouTube. There's a link to your channel in post #1 under U.S. photographers. There's also a post on page 2 of the thread (post #71) about the channel, with a link to this thread.

It's an interesting channel. My apologies for not seeing it sooner.

Thanks everyone for the warm response! I'm glad that you like the 20x24 and the new YouTube channel! I'm new to the video thing but it's been a fun way to share what I'm working on so I'm glad that the content is of interest. Very much appreciated!

Thanks very much for adding me to the list! And no worries at all, I'm still new to the whole YouTube thing. Thanks again!

Hahha yea, everything looks miniature next to the giant camera! Back on the shelf are cameras ranging in size and I'm planning to make videos on some of the interesting ones soon
