    Lynn Whitney

Here is a large format photographer of whom I was previously unaware:

She has a small book out that was featured in photo-eye's weekly email:

Ah, had to think a bit -- but have come across her name before -- I believe from Mark Steinmetz's 2014 Time Magazine 'Off the Radar' article on 'Nine Women Photographers of the Northeast': https://www.bgsu.edu/arts-and-scienc...n-whitney.html

Nice seeing a larger body of her work. Interesting and varied choice of subject matter, which I appreciate. May order the book.

Thanks for bringing her to our attention.

Thanks Oren, I wasn't familiar with her either. I appreciate her less studied, somewhat informal approach with what I believe is an 8x10 camera.

It looks like she shoots a waist level medium format for lots of her shots. Square format. Waist level seem to bring out intimacy. Very nice.

She now has another book out with a more extensive representation of her Lake Erie work:
