Recommendation for a mini-fridge for paper

This seems to be the right forum department.

I need to keep some paper cooler than our summer75-degree basement allows. I used to use our big freezer, but it tends to stay full these days.
I don't have much to store, but I need adequate space for a 50-shhet box of 11x14 and a couple of hundred-sheet boxes of 8x10. From models I've looked at on the web, it's the 11x14 that is the sticking point, since so many of these have molded doors for drink cans, etc.

I don't have a lot money to spend on this and don't want to take up more space than I have to.

Anyone have a specific available-model recommendation?

    Thanks.

11x14 should fit any standard mini fridge.

I'm considering a beverage chiller for my darkroom rebuild. Something that goes down to 4-5C. Finding out the internal dimensions without direct examination is a problem, though. And I need one that can disable the internal light 8-).

One of these designed to hold 30 or more cans should work for 11x14, but may be larger than you need.

Go to Home Depot or Lowes. My experience was that a "Mini" or "dorm room" appliance was more expensive than a simply small sized freezer. Chest freezers also cost way less than door opening freezers. The "floor sample" one that I bought had a small dent in it and was marked down 50% from its sale price!!!

If you don't keep food in a chest freezer and don't open it much you will get much less frost. It's not too bad.

Might I suggest bringing an empty 11x14 paper box to your local appliance store for a trial fit?

if you add a timer you can have it shut it off to defrost in the middle of the night.

Years ago I purchased a chest freezer, and we keep both frozen foods and film and darkroom paper in it. It comes in really handy for both.
