Shopping cart camera carrier

I thought others might be interested in this Joovy shopping cart, which I bought for car-free grocery and Walgreens runs in the city, but which, it turns out, just fits the beer cooler in which I keep my LF gear. The tripod rides below.

The cart is obviously a "basket modification" of one of Joovy's strollers. Folds up easily for home storage and to fit in the truck of a car.

Dandy on city sidewalks and worked fine on the gravel paths at the arboretum where I took it today. (The wheels would not be large enough for rough trails.)

As an older guy averse to carrying gear on my back, I had been looking for such a solution for a while. Be it unto you according to your interest.

I'd like to see a parts kit for converting a golf-bag pull cart into something that could mount an f64 size LF camera bag and wooden tripod.

That would allow for travel over reasonable turf (like a golf course fairway). Other carts have wheels too small for anything but pavement. Jogging strollers can work but are still pretty big when collapsed.

This company also makes utility carts. The largest, with oversize rear wheels, is this one. Not cheap, but apparently it's sometimes sold at about a 25% discount:

Just be careful of hauling your LF equipment in wheeled carts on rough surfaces. I had a nice wheeled carry-on with my LF gear in it which I rolled just a couple hundred yards on kind of rough concrete at the Venice airport. Result: knobs from the camera rattled loose things fell apart. Luckily, everything was there at the bottom of the bag and I could easily re-assemble everything. I won't drag my rollers over anything but really smooth surfaces now.
