    Toyo lensboard question

Can someone tell me if a Toyo 45G lensboard will fit on a Toyo 45A Field Camera? I am looking at a used field camera, but am not sure if my existing lensboard will fit.

    Thanks

Toyo field cameras like the 45A accept Toyo 110x110mm lens boards while Toyo monorail cameras accept larger sizes (I think 127x127mm from memory). So, no, you can not use both sizes on both types.

Toyo lens boards can be expensive but generic brand versions are available, including a brand called Luland that can be bought on the usual auction site for less than half the cost of a genuine Toyo brand. I have several in various Copal sizes and they are high quality made of anodised aluminium and fit my 45A well.

You can download Toyo catalogues at the link below with full specifications on lens boards and other accessories.

    Re: Toyo lensboard question

There are an adapter for Toyo 45G cameras for Toyo 45A lens boards made by Toyo:

Toyo Adapter Lens Board 4FVM Nr. 1052

If you have both types of Toyo cameras a solution would be to use Toyo 45 lens boards
and the adapter on the Toyo 45G.
