    Massive Dev Chart with Rotary?

Good evening. I just purchased the massive dev chart app. Is there any adjustments that need to be made for when using a JOBO rotary system?

I thought the rotary process required less chemicals and possibly different times.
    Than you.

Unless the MDC development time specially notes that it's a rotary time, then I usually drop about 15% off as a starting point. I know others who stick with the inversion time. Testing will tell the tale for your working methods.

    Massive Dev Chart with Rotary?

Usually the answer is in the developer or the film manual. And usually, without pre wash it’s 10-15% shorter for continuous rotation, and no change with pre-wash. But different ones make different suggestions (and some film manufacturers don’t recommend pre-wash).

Ultimately you need to try it for yourself and determine it for your own processing. However the above is a good starting point.

I always do a pre-wash when using my ATL processors and do not adjust time.

Like Kiwi7475 and sperdynamite, I have found that doing a prewash and don't adjust the time with my jobo.

You could try going into the Time/Temperature conversion. There's a query in there as to whether you'll be agitating constantly or not. I think it just deducts 15% from your dev time. My ATL-1000 runs BW at 24C so that conversion tool works out pretty handy for temperature too.

15% seems to be the consensus. However there are exceptions, I see one of them being if you prewash the film it does not have to be deducted off of your development time. I think I’m going to do that.

Try it both ways. I do pre-wash my film and I still reduce development time by about 10 - 15%.
