    Greetings from marseille !

Hi to all, I'm hubert, 50 years old, I live near the sea in Marseille (France). I regularly carry my camera (6x6, 4x5 or 5x7) in the calanques, and a little bit everywhere else.
I use alternative processes (cyanotype and argyrotype) from my negatives, or from digital negatives.
I recently re-equipped a darkroom with a 4x5 priox enlarger, which I changed the head for a Superchromega D. It has a foot on each side of the Atlantic...
I'm back to the pleasure of printing, and I'm glad to join you

(Low voice: in English, our Marseille is spelled Marseilles.
This is the privilige of major cities in this world to get a different spelling in different languages!
    London is
    Londres in French!
And in French for NYC, we say: Nouille-Orque )

Best bouillabaisse I've had in my life

Pretty good football club too, but I'm definitely partial to PSG. I won't rub in today's game

Marseille vs Paris Saint-Germain at Parc des Princes tonight

Bienvenue! Never heard of Priox, and it doesn't come up in a search, either. French brand? Still made?

Looking forward to seeing your work.

    About PRIOX enlargers

PRIOX was a French company based in Chinon (in the Loire Valley).
Established in 1900, the company went out of business in 1984,
then restarted in 1986, and definitely closed in 1995.

From 1900 to the end of the last century, PRIOX manufactured enlargers and many other lab equipment (enlarging easels, glazers ...).
The historical factory closed in 1984, then moved to another location in Chinon, but eventually the company did not survive.

PRIOX enlargers are relatively easy to find in France on the used market and might be of some interest to our European readers. Some used PRIOX enlargers are quite old, the legend says that some were used during WW-II by Resistance people to make forged ID papers!
PRIOX enlargers were often equipped with BOYER lenses (Hello, Dan!)

This is the 9x12 cm model

(caveat: not sure if this 9x12 cm enlarger actually accommodates the 4x5" format, may be late models only? )

    This is the top-of-the-line 5x7" - 13x18 cm model

    named "LABOREX".
