    I'm note sure I follow. I focus on the GG, however the GG has to be removed before the roll back is attached to the back (001630). What I prefer is after the cocusing/composing part is done to remove the whole back (including the GG) and replace it with the one having already the roll back attached to it - much faster procedure.

    Thats pretty much how the 6x9 Linhofs work. Rather than having a "graflok" setup, you remove the entire back to attach the roll back. I expect the potential issue for 4x5 cameras are whether the postion of the GG is consistant from one back to the next.

    1. The back in the original post is a lo-end kardan type and lacks the circular plate that the rotating backs have. You can get an adapter so the camera can accept the rotating type backs, but there is no adapter so the kardan back can fit a technika.

    2. The best tool to accomplish the goal you have of easily using a 120 back is the Rapid Change Adapter.
