    Purisima Creek Trail

Don't do this very often, had my other "half" do a trip here.. not far from home, still a challenge for me to try (with help) at this place in time.
TK23s is lower weight and all compared to the 5x7 Norma, bit easier to deal with. 10 frames (120 roll) used up most of the afternoon.

I went out there 5 plus years ago for the first time with a group of LF shooters I met on meetup. I was quite pleased with the images I came back with on slide film. I was worried that it was going to be too dark and my exposures too long but that wasn't the case. I later went for a hike there on a rainy thanksgiving day. I did the loop trail which was wonderful. I only saw one other person that day and the feeling I got on that hike was that I was in another world.

Go Banana Slugs! A beautiful part of the world, but that wet footlog in the video makes the hair on the back of my neck stand up--think I'd coon that one if I didn't have caulks or my studded wading boots.

Glad that you can get out more. Hopefully I won't step on any banana slugs in the cloud forest tomorrow. But over the winter I did spot an amazing iridescent trail they left on a recently blackened portion of an old growth fir, which otherwise survived the fire.

Back in my practical joke days, I crafted a slug out of greenish silicone caulk, and made a slime trail with vaseline across a secretary's desk onto her phone, where the faux slug was attached. When she got back from lunch I called her, watching from across the room. Quite a shriek.

Beautiful place, I need to get on a train sometime. I just realized it's been over a decade since I've been in a redwood forest. Magical!
