    Hello from Pittsburgh

    Hi, all

this seems to be a really great community. (great thanks for the management team!)
I am here because I was researching about moving an over sized enlarger and came across a very helpful post by Andy F and many others contributing.
My husband and I are in the process of downsizing and we are taking apart his 30 year darkroom.
He used to make photos as large as 30"x40" and he built cameras to take 16"X20" paper when he used to shoot paper negative.
Anyways, happy to discover this community and I hope his beloved equipment will go to good homes.

    Thank you, Tin Can!
I just found a better photo of my husband's view camera.
It had gone to another artist's hand few years ago. But it was a beauty and it looked fabulous in the studio.

Truth be told I have a Saltzman Enlarger offered for free right now in our Buy/Sell pages that will open to you in 30 days

I saw a camera stand just like yours in a High Rise Condo on white carpet facing Mag Mile Chicago

Yours is missing the chrome cap on top, those are often lost

That fellow was selling a Giant 1930's 11X14 Deardorff Studio Camera for more $$ than I had

I now have one, restoration was not cheap

Here I am underneath it with Plastica

and the day I installed new 72" bellows

Good fortune to you and yours!

    Cool!
No the chrome cap wasn’t missing. Husband intentionally cut the top off to fit in his studio besides he didn’t need the height.

Thank you for your welcome too Andrew!

I'll echo the welcomes. This is certainly the place to be. I'm glad you're able and willing to find good homes for the equipment. I have no doubt you'll find them.

Hidey-ho good neighbor and welcome to the asylum. I'm just east of Mt. Pleasant on Rt 31, if you ever want to get out this way just give me a shout and I'll meet you. I've been thinking of trying to organize a regional gathering, I can get the use of our community club for functions if I get enough people interested.
