Like many of us, I never met him in person. But it was always a pleasure to communicate with him through this forum, and directly on line.

My wife and I met him at a couple of Bay Area events. Quiet and very thoughtful.

I am so very sad to hear this. Will and I shared some great times together back in the 1980's, but after he left this area I'd only gotten "reintroduced" to him through this forum - after which we did a bit of corresponding by email. But I'd so wanted an actual visit. He was a so very thoughtful, gentle, and sensitive soul - and very passionate about photography and very skillful as well. I could go on and will at some point. But now this is just very sad news.

Awful news, he was too young. I'll miss him, and just recently thought of him as he had cataract surgery not long ago.
I never met Will, but we spoke on the phone a lot, even FaceTimed on several occasions, while he would drink a Margarita or some concoction.
We traded, talked, and he helped me with the design of a pano head for Ries tripods.
He was a gentleman and as close as I''ve come to a friend on this forum.
Condolences to his family and friends.
May his memory be a blessing.
