I bought the onion green in the spring and have been watching it mature. The dried bromiliad we found on the street. My wife tells me that she bought the ink bottle and used the ink--news to me, who is mostly interested in the way its complicated construction captures the light.

All HP5 in HC110 E. The lens was 210mm Aus Jena Tessar, the camera, a 210 Chamonix 45-H1, performing close to maximum extension.

I went to the Van Gogh exhibit last weekend and decided to try still life. I can see I need to iron my fabric. I might use tilt to throw the backdrop completely out of focus. I used a solar therapy sort of soft light.

I've had this Nikkor-W 150mm f5.6 for years and not used it - it's not too bad (don't know why I would be surprised by that! )

Globe courgette and tomatoes by Peter Brooks

Globe courgette grown by our neighbour, tomatoes grown by us (wonderful crop this year).

(There's an area lower centre of the courgette that looks out of focus, it's not, the skin had some sort of defect... Why am I always kicking myself for not checking things more thoroughly?)

I bought a really good steamer to take the wrinkles out of my painted muslin backgrounds. Got the idea from Tim Kelly. Works perfectly!

This is from a 5x7 that was developed in a monobath that was too old. I scanned it and processed it the best I know how and ended up with this.
