Perhaps you need a rainfall water tower/container that holds 500+ gallons with a filter that feeds your darkroom. My city water is near perfect but I run it through a Britta filter to remove chlorine and any solids for mixing developers and fixer.

Walmart's product, at least here, says "for distilled water uses." The Arrowhead brand I purchase instead says "prepared by steam distillation." Don't know about Kroger. I suspect Walmart sells RO stuff.
That's actually why I use it for coffee. Perfectly distilled water isn't good for my machine, and I usually add a dash of tap when filling it up for some extra minerals. As for my color chems, haven't had any issues personally using it. I suppose I could check with a multimeter to see how resistive it is? Since perfectly distilled water is non-conductive right?
Kroger is Steam Distilled
I use it for coffee, microwaved in Pyrex 150 seconds
I buy Starbucks Italian Dark Roast by the sealed case
Grind it into dust with Braun grinder in 30 seconds
Then 30 seconds by hand Aero-Press
Cheapest and best, 1 cup in morning
Jacks me up!
Tin Can: What are the little flash units? They look useful.
