Ha! Love that shot. Is that an old Beemer?
Like a lot of you I suspect, when a camera was involved you were generally behind it and not in front of it.
If I'm honest, I have always had a soft spot for this one of me. Speaks to me of growing up in Scotland and I still wear the kilt on days where I just feel like wearing the kilt.
A few years back, I edited a book of short stories for a small publishing house. I learned that one of the authors I'd selected lived in a nursing home down in Massachusetts. At the time, I lived in Vermont, so as part of an author signing, I took 50 copies of the book down to him to sign. We lost him just a few weeks later. He was a nice man.

I showed this about 5 years ago...ran across it recently, so it is so far my 2022 favorite photo of me.
Spokane Valley, Washington, 1980, 6'4", 210 or so pounds, 26 yrs old.
4x5 Rajah -- exact copy of a Deardorf without the quality.
I would soon hitchhike for 3 months in NZ with this set-up, and come home with almost no good negatives due to a light leak.
