The Kaiser light panel is relatively cheap, and I can tell neither the image brightness nor the colour are precisely even across it. It is good enough for most of what I want it for - certainly as I learn about large format and scanning.
I tested my Kaiser light panel with my NEC puck and Spectrview II software and came up with these statistics for the panel, battery vs AC powered.

I haven't found a way to do that so far by white balance adjustments in Lightroom or exposure/highlight/shadow/white/black points or tone curves. Hence my original question about obtaining a provia-specific camera profile. This is a process I am familiar with in other situations: usually a new model digital camera that does not have acceptable Adobe profiles at launch. I have not yet done it with a transparent profile target on a light panel.
The main problem with scanning slides is getting what you see on a screen. Shooting a color target then scanning that and building a LUT, icc, or input profile will color correct your slide, by definition. It seems you're after absolute color reproduction, not accuracy.

I have no reliable method of doing that besides color grading by eye.
