    Plaubel Peco

I have a Plaubel Peco Profia 13x18 and recently came into a wide-angles bellows on the cheap. Only problem is it seems that the bellows may be for the Peco Profia Universal not Profia as it has different standard attachment. I have an old regular bellows from which I can remove the standard attachments and refit to the wide-angle one, which will hopefully fit. Any suggestions on how to do this without screwing it up (removal of attachments, type glue to re-fit, etc.) Thanks in advance.

Daniel Unkefer on this forum may be your best bet for reliable information. I used a black silicone adhesive that worked well for me, for re-attaching a bellows that had come loose from it's frame - I'll find that tonight and post the name ASAP.

I have an earlier Peco Universal, I can take a photo of the WA bellows if that would help with identification.

Transplanting bellows sounds tricky, I have wondered what glue should be used if I get a new bellows for a Plaubel Supra that I have. Old Plaubel bellows don't seem to hold up that well. Maybe getting the correct bellows frames from a ruined set and sending them to Custom Bellows in the UK will be the most cost effective solution in the long run.

I used Permatex Black Silicone Adhesive Sealant by Loctite, it came in a 3 oz tube, their item number 79340-81158. Out of the tube the adhesive was a thick paste, easy to use (not runny or stiff). Picked it up at the local hardware store. Good luck!

    Well Thanks for that Tom!

I would email Keith at Custom Bellows and ask. It may well be the best solution to let the expert do the work, if he advises you to do so. Changing out a bag bellows is indeed quite a tricky operation, the fabric is simply glued to the frame with Plaubel. Ruined large format film is expensive and frustrating and I'd let the expert do this job, unless he advise you otherwise

They do make bag bellows see here; second gallery photo shows it
