    Need help with Epson 4870

I have tried numerous settings with the 4870, but the output is not the full 4x5 negative size. It appears to be somehow defaulting to 120 roll size. Any assistance would be appreciated.

I have an Epson 4870. Are you using the Epson software?

I use Epson scan in professional mode. Do the basic settings on the left and then do a preview scan. Once the preview scan is displayed on the right there are some marquee selection boxes at the upper left to choose the way you want to select the area for scanning. I choose the dashed rectangle on the lower right. Click and hold your mouse over one corner of the area you want to scan, and then drag your mouse to the opposite corner. This will create a window for the area to be scanned. You can do the same thing for a second window (for 4x5). If you create 2 windows for 2 sheets of 4x5, then make sure to click the button that says "All" below the marquee boxes, to make sure both are selected for scanning. Once everything is selected then click the scan button on the left side.

I did the preview, but it only shows a portion of the negative. I cannot move the scan area larger than the segment of the negative.

Update: This noob had the thumbnail toggled. I unchecked the box and all is right with the world. Thank you sharktooth for lending a hand.
