Julius Shulman inspired modified Leitz Tiltall model one, heavy aluminum machined block bolted to center column. Camera locked down with 9/16" closed end wrench. Rock solid light as a feather. Uber solid medium format monorail technical camera. With the Sony E series mirrorless attached to a flat board, I have a "poor man's digital mini-me view camera system". So far I have ten of the original lenses ready to test. Four have been freshly overhauled by Camtronics. The Monocular Viewer swivels left and right to see the groundglass uber clear magnified with fresnel, can easily assess sharpness critically with this setup. This back is matched to original 6x9cm and 6x6cm Plaubel Makina 120 Backs, which I have been using all along in my two Makinas II and IIIR. So rolls get finished up and move around, these are a bit finicky to use, but doable and gets easy to do with time. Also fifty 6x9cm Plaubel Sheet and Glass Plate holders. Add Sony digital and it's pretty versatile for cheap money

The lens is a 135mm f3.8 chrome Schneider Xenar freshly overhauled. Very bright to look through, one of the lenses in the original Plaubel catalog

Plaubel said in the day "The Rolls Royce of Cameras- The Plaubel Makina". That's about right, and the system is extensive. Leica quality MF IMO

Jeesh Daniel...I've got a whole slew of aluminum blocks (really nice ones - 6061 and 7075) from stalled camera production - and I could make lots of those! (hmmm...).

Oh and yes...that M-4 - I can so imagine just running my fingers over that...(will stop there - even a porn thread has its limits! )

This is rainy foggy day handheld digital view camera photography. Plaubel Peco Junior with 240mm Schneider black barrel Tele-Arton wide open. Handheld exposure NexC3 Digital Back. I like the bokeh and lower contrast rendering, thanks to the olde Tele-Arton formula. Making up this digital unit enables me to use this lens for the first time Lens mounted on 3D printed board from Italy, I added light foam trapping and it works OK

I took my second Peco Junior Rail (It has three attachment points) and precisely cut into two shorter rails, using my Lil' Machine Shop Band Saw. Finished with hand file and two new perfect, Small, and Medium length rails. Very very useful to me. See how teeny tiny the camera is now, with the shorty Sawed-Off Rail. Perfect for use with my 65mm F8 Super Angulon in Compur Shutter, and with Schneider Center Filter For 65mm F8. So Schneider-matched parts. This digiphoto was shot with my other Peco Junior, with a black Schneider Componon 100mm F5.6 Mint condition great standard focal length. Captured onto Sony Nex C3 JB Welded to a Plaubel 120x120mm lens board. Nice lens for this type of use, like the 1970's rendition no multicoating. This digital back for the Peco Junior is going to get a lot of use!
