Re: Free-standing dust attractors/filters any good?

Those Honeywell room filters for sickroom or allergy sufferers work pretty well to reduce dust or pollen... I have an old one from a thrift store that I have used while cleaning very dusty rooms (that made me cry and sneeze), and overnight cleared the air...

I think the unit new is around 50 or 75 bucks (from big box stores and pharmacies), but replacement filters are not cheap... Worth looking into...

    Dust depends on location

The 1 million sq ft factory I worked in had serious dust, my tiny lab had big vent hoods and it's own HVAC INSiDE the big building, still cleaning a dusty desk daily

I lived 1/2 block from very busy inner city corner, diesel dust was insane

6 blocks away it was noticeably and visually better
