Source for 42mm retaining ring for Componon S 150 amd Omega lens mount?

    Hello All,

Recently purchased a Schneider Componon S 150mm enlarging lens, with 42mm threads. (There is a second model with 50mm threads.) Lucky to find the Omega lens mount pictured, which I'm pretty sure is the correct one. Now, where can I find the proper sized ring to attach the two? The space between lens and mount is quite narrow. (The ring seen here, provided by the previous owner, must have been used with another type of mount, as it's too wide to fit with the Omega.)

Thanks for your suggestions, I appreciate it!

    David

PS I'll likely need to buy a spanner to attach the retainer, so any rec's for a spanner type/brand would also be helpful, thx!

    Here:

I strongly recommend the spanner wrenches from S.K. Grimes:

KHB is an excellent source for darkroom widgets but is currently out of stock on that ring. Here's another source I've done business with:

Also a fan of the SKG spanners.

I have the same 150mm/42mm lens on the same lensboard. I was able to get a narrow locking ring in there ok.

Thanks to Sal and Oren for the great info!

As KHB is out of stock, I've written to Jose at Custom Photo Tools. I also asked him which type of spanner I'd need; SKG has only the flat tip, currently.

If anyone reading this post knows of someone who may have such a 42mm mounting/retaining ring they're willing to part with, please let me know, thx!

Good news, thx! Where did you find your locking ring, if I may ask? And what type of tool did you use to screw down the ring?
    Thx, racer!

I have both, use the flat tip most of the time, but the round tip can be a life-saver in tight spaces.
