I do know what I am missing, I joined FB early

It may be ok for some mentally healthy people, but I have seen it drive others crazy

once a pile on occurs it can be very dangerous

a lot of it is, the 'portraits' that are not flattering enough

Private groups seem good, but some are kicked out a coterie of hatred

Not "nothing." As a result of its benefactor and volunteers, this site is free of all costs except the time one must invest to read or participate in it.

You must be irony deficient, Brian. Dinosaurs, like 19th century lenses? Hillarious. Give me a forum over anti-social media any day.

There's likely an absolute minimum of interaction one must have with deplorable Zuckerworld to engage in commerce. For example, Keith Canham hasn't kept his Web site updated for years with respect to special order Kodak film. That information is posted on his Facebook page instead. It can be viewed without being a "member," albeit with an annoying pop-up over much of the screen. That's all I'd ever get involved with. If Keith or another merchant began dealing only with "members," they'd lose my business. Permanently.

Zuckerworld and its ilk all prey upon the stupid by stealing from them without their knowledge. That "industry" deserves extreme regulation and anti-trust breakups, not to mention losing the exemption from liability for what it publishes.
