What scanner do you have? What types of film to you shoot? What post scan software do you edit with? What are you doing now?

Vuescan works on almost all scanners past, present and future

Do not lose the serial # or 'loan' it

I've tried Viewscan, Epson scan, Silverfast and labpro for my BW negatives. Seems all but the Epson Scan give you files that when imported into Lightroom require all the sliders work opposite as usual. I don't like that so I stick with Epson, which seems to give me good results. I do all post processing once I import into Lightroom. But I could be missing something about the others. If so, maybe someone could enlighten me.

For what it's worth, I have been using VueScan with multiple scanners and multiple film types over many years, and the scans appear and adjust in Lightroom exactly like my digi-original images. I'm guessing you had some setting wrong. I just don't want new users to avoid what is to me a very helpful and cost-effective scanning solution. Hope this helps.
