Help ID-ing a Fredericksburg area, LF 4x5 BW documentary photographer

    Hello everyone

I’m having a memory lapse and hoping someone here will know the LF photographer I am trying to recall. I believe he is located in Fredericksburg VA. He shoots predominantly BW , 4x5. He has been an active photographer of the area for well on 20 years and has had several shows during his lifetime. I’m not sure if he has published a book. There was a documentary done about him and his work in and around Fredericksburg which ran for about 20-30 minutes. In it there is discussion with his former fan turned assistant.

    Any ideas?

    thanks
    Jan

Are you thinking of Frank Lee Ruggles?

Hi Scott... I went to Frank Lee Ruggles website and also his bio/obit. A very interesting guy! But it's not the photographer I'm trying to recall. Thanks for the name, I may dig into Ruggles work later

Perhaps you are thinking of Eliott Dudik

    https://www.eliotdudik.com/vita

I bumped into him at Schoodic Point last year.

Hi James, I just looked at Eliot's website. He's one heck of a fine BW photographer. Not the one I'm looking for, but I'm sure finding some great work during this search. Thanks again!
