Berlebach . . .what is it?

I have picked up a nice looking wooden tripod, but I am not quite sure what it is.

The legs are labled "Original Berlbach". It has a leveling center post.

I have not found a similar tripod online.

    What is it?

There are only three types of mounting flanges; too big, too small and wrong thread!

It was the product of the company that made Berlebach during the time that it was an East German company.
After the wall came down new owners took over the company, remade or refurbished the tools and the current Berlebach company began. The older stuff became Wolf and some were sold as “original Berlebach”

Well thanks for that info. I like my Original Berlbach and it seems to work for me.

The leveling center post has enough movement that I cvan dispense with a heavy ball head for my 8x10 2D for most shooting.
