Hi LF forum folks,
There sure is lots of really good info here - I have been reading a ton - thank you for sharing.
My first post.
I just purchased a Toyo-view 4x5 mono-rail camera - looks like a D45M
- complete package, including help from a very experienced photographer and use of his enlarger and dark room
- it has been a ton of fun, getting back into home development (so far just tray developing the negatives)

The camera is old, but in good condition.
Except: the spring back (ground glass holder) does not spring back tight to the camera - the springs seem a bit weak (old)
I can hod the GG tight with a slight pressure with the hand held magnifier
The spring back does hold the film cassette tightly - no light leaks

These springs are multiple leaf - 2 leaf on one end and 3 leaf on the other - looks a bit tricky to manufacture.

I'm trying to contact toyoview.com but the emails don't work, and the "contact us" form fails.
Looks like toyoview.uk still works, but I haven't heard back from them yet.

Does anyone know if this type of spring is available anywhere?

The camera works - but it would be nice to have this tighter.

Thanks for any help you can offer

Regards

Jim
