Sanderson Regular? Badged Harrington & Co.

This turned up this week, the seller took some very dark and blurry photos with a very vague description as is the custom here. The price was good and I figured I could use it for parts if it were missing anything major, so buy it now before I new what it was.

The badge has Harrington & Co Sydney and Brisbane.
Looks most likely to be a Sanderson Popular Regular in half plate.
Serial number is 11.880 which puts it around 1905/06
Missing the film back and lens board rise and fall, but everything else seems to be there.

An oily rag and some duct tape should get it going again.

    Thanks, like a challenge.

The lever on one of the locking pins is gone, so will need to make one, once I can remove the old stub.

Interesting carpentry on the tripod attachment.

Removed the rest of the bellows and ordered a new one.
Cleaned and lubed, everything functions again.
Making a new film back to take 4x5 out of some Silky Oak I have lying around.
Once thats complete I will make a new front using some mahogany veneer I have.

Finished the new film back to take 4x5.
Just needs a final sand and a good shellacing on exposed bits and matt black on others.

Made lens board holder from an old plate holder and other bits and pieces.

    Ordered new bellows and installed.
All done, just needs testing and a tidy up.

The leaf spring and Graflock back is a cool looking trick

Something wonderfully romantic about the old wooden cameras, I think
