Looking for advice on a used lens for an Intrepid camera

Hi, all --

Well I finally decided; I bought a Schneider Kreuznach Symmar-S 150mm f/5.6 MC in a Copal 0, for two main reasons.

1) I have been trying for a long time to obtain a lens for the Intrepid that that I'm planning on buying, that will do what I need it to do, that I can afford to buy. I was about to give up when I found one (the Symmar) that is mechanically and optically sound but marked down for a minor cosmetic issue, and

2) I saw several mentions of that lens in the foregoing advisory posts.

It is coming in a Toyo board, and the Intrepid site says that camera takes Linhof boards, so once my time in purgatory here is completed I'm hoping that I can swap, or sell the Toyo and buy a used Linhof board from someone here.

You can also buy a bord from Intreprid. Their boards are affordable, light and stiff. Obviously, they fit perfectly to the camera.

Thanks Daniel -- somehow I had gotten the impression that they were very expensive, but I just took a second look and you're right.

I had a Calumet 150mm f/5.6 many years ago that may have been a re-branded Schneider Kreuznach Symmar-S 150mm. For years it was my only lens for my 4X5.
Likewise I ordered an Intrepid a couple weeks ago - I guess sometime in the next month it should arrive.

I can send you a photo of my Schneider Symmar S 150/f5.6 MC lens so you'll know for sure that it's what your lens really is.
