Hello everybody

I bought this antique contact printer. It is quite compact and think suitable up to 8x10. It has a height-adjustable diffuser, 4 white and one darkroom lamp, a mechanical electric timer (Tobias Baeuerle & Soehne) and an archaic dimmer and the cables don't look trustworthy either. I haven't dared to plug in the device yet. Would you replace the electrical components with modern ones? I find the device itself very interesting. Of course, a simple sheet of glass for contact sheets would be a lot easier. It should have advantages to work with such a device?
I thank you for your experiences and inputs

regards
