My parents had it growing in their garden - it seemed to thrive on neglect.
I never know what the plant was - it was there when my parents moved and it was still there when they moved out 40+ years later.

I stumbled on some 'new to me' Fond du Lac history this morning. Here are some photos of the Pier Cemetery. The cemetery was build to inter the first woman of European descent to be buried in the Fond du Lac area: Fanna Pier. She died in 1838.
