Thanks Jon. The drinking fountains have good metallic feel to them.

    A question

Is anybody converting to Digi IR using only software with 'normal' Digi cameras?

    If so, examples please

My M9 is a 'normal', unconverted camera. With this camera, the R72 filter is much like shooting shooting with a 9 or 10-stop ND filter in terms of shutter speed.

    Re: Digital IR

With my D600, an R72 acts more like a 14-15 stop deep red filter.

But maybe Randy is talking about not using a filter? If I remember rightly, NIK software and others had 'fake' IR effects. I've never used them.

In Photoshop you could always use a BW layer (or the channel mixer) to just get the red channel. Now increase contrast. Maybe use the Orton effect to give some glow. or.....?

Ah, I immediately thought software converting the resulting image from an unconverted camera using a R72.

I meant Digi with no filter of any kind

One of these days I will shoot my Rollei 400 IR film with Hoya R72, in hand as I write

Right now I am playing with unaltered Digi in PS to see what that looks like

I posted those in 'normal' film Tiny Format
