    Re: Digital IR

    Thank you, Jeff.
Things tend to move quickly at my house. If you stay still for too long, you might get sold
Having two IR cameras is a no-brainer for me, it offers a better work flow. But it won't work for many others.
I almost went with the NX1, Samsung makes terrific APS-C cameras, but I really wanted a full-frame camera for my next IR project.

    Good tips and https://www.isaacszabo.com/gallery.html

    I like his ways

However I am going to wait a bit on a IR conversion, especially with this new NIKON Z fc, it is my first and only Mirrorless so far

I see one more in my time, a full frame Mirrorless

Thank you for your quick reply

    btw, I use CC daily

I'm selling this camera soon because I'm moving up to full frame IR.
Isaac will next convert two Sony A7r cameras for me, one to 830nm, the other to 550nm.
Processing is a yuuuuge factor in this, get your Lightroom and Photoshop up to date if you plan on using recent glass (as I do).

    Thanks, Jon.
I processed everything the same, but I omitted the last step (diffusion) this time.
It also helps that it's a picturesque location for IR images.

More testing. Seems to be a daily thing. I'll learn this stuff eventually!

Anyway, I was able to get an in camera WB for the 850nm and 950nm filters today. This was on my Nikon D810 full spectrum camera. So, I had to test things out. Did more just around the house, but also went to my favorite testing area in town.

Here are a couple of shots using the 850nm.

    2021:09:01 11:43:32 : NIKON D810 : 24mm : 640 ISO : F5.6 : 0.01 sec : 1 EV

    2021:09:01 11:45:46 : NIKON D810 : 70mm : 3200 ISO : F5.6 : 0.01 sec : 1 EV

Here are a couple of shots using the 950nm.

    2021:09:01 14:33:47 : NIKON D810 : 34mm : 100 ISO : F7.1 : 0.4 sec : 1 EV

    2021:09:01 12:12:20 : NIKON D810 : 70mm : 3200 ISO : F6.3 : 1/80 sec : 1 EV

The only shot done using a tripod was the one of the church. It was done at base ISO (100). The rest were hand held with the ISO as high as 3200.

I just noticed my camera date is off by one day!

    Like!

Maybe I convert my seldom used D7000, as it has live view

not my D750 as it is needed

Looking good, Jon. I really like the church and the trees.
820-850nm is a great filter to use.
