Obviously, there's very little IR light from natural sources available then, but there's often a lot of IR light from artificial sources bouncing around...
Well, I have never considered doing this, but you have shown us that things can get interesting! I will definitely give it a try.

The camera I used was a Sony a7r 11 converted to full spectrum.

Very nice Sandy! My next conversion has to be full spectrum!

My approach to use of IR is a bit different from most as I tend to avoid the very high contrast of sunny days and photograph in low contrast situations which gives e the opportunity to selectively increase contrast.

I've been one of the 'full sun' IR shooters. I might have to re-think that! Nice images.

That's a very gentle, smooth effect, Alan. Well done.

And here I am, using a very expensive Heliopan IR Cut filter on my Blackmagic camera to keep infrared from messing with the colour of my footage, not to mention pricey Panavision/Lee Neutral Density filters with IR Cut for the same reason

Question for 'full spectrum' folks: Can you live view focus through an R72 filter?

I must admit that being able to choose a different IR filter for different conditions is highly appealing.

Yes, if your camera is mirrorless or has live view.

Attached is a brief article about full spectrum conversions.
