Nice tonality on those, Jon. Is that a full-spectrum conversion on your D810?

That is a spectacular image! You sure found a great vantage place from which to photograph Interstate 5.

And with the right tonal adjustments that would also be a great image in monochrome.

There's lots of really good work in this thread. I love seeing all the different options and styles. I'm at semester crunch time right now...6 classes!...Online and in-person..... and I won't have much available time for photography for awhile, alas. Keep up the good work!

    Re: Digital IR

I finally got a high quality Super Color 590nm 82mm filter for my full spectrum Nikon D810 today. So, I went to my favorite test location and did some testing. Here is the result after processing the image in both Photoshop CC, and my older version of Photoshop CS5 (this version can not process D810 RAW), so I could use Nik Collection and control point processing. Granted, this is only my second attempt using that process! I'm going for the full false color effect here.

Here is the same image from above then converted to B&W.

I also shot some images with a 950nm filter. But, I did not realize I would need a tripod for that filter. At least at the 200 ISO I was shooting. My experience with 830nm did not require one. I'll have to try the 950nm another time.

    Jon, very nice B&W image.
I haven't used CS5 in a very long time, but I think you can convert RAW files to DMG files with a free DMG converter app.
Then you should be able to open the DMG in CS5 RAW.
