    Press Graflex mechanical troubles

Hello all, I am relatively new to the forums, so apologies in advance for any formatting mistakes. Last night I finally got my hands on a Press Graflex, I had wanted one for quite some time. The camera itself has seen its better days, but nothing I cannot fix. However, there is a mechanical problem in the tensioner that I haven't a clue where to start with. Essentially, You are able to advance the tension setting normally 2 times before meeting unnatural resistance. Upon further inspection the indicator cog never moves and when the cam spur rotates around to index it foreword, that is when the extreme resistance is met. In addition to this problem, the shutter can only advance from the + to the 1½ before meeting worrying resistance. I believe this problem to be related to the tensioner, but I may be wrong. At any rate, I hope someone here knows more about these things than I do. For the life of me I cannot find any schematics/engineering drawing that describe how this system works, and it is so radically different to other graflex cameras that there is nary a thing I can carry over knowledge wise. Any help on this matter would be appreciated, I want nothing more than to get this camera back in service. If pictures help I can certainly provide.

    Thanks in advance,
    Pritcher
