Ilford Multigrade 500HLE For 8x10 Enlarger Needs Work

I sent in a high illumination unit (two 300 watt bulbs in the head) to get repaired.

I have the 4x5 500 system and it is finicky. It needs to be turned on regularly to keep it fully operational. I get about a year out of the bulbs whether I use them heavily or not. I had to change to an RHDesigns controller because all the 20+ year old controllers failed within a couple of uses. If you hear the head's fans come on you at least have power to the head.
I open and clean the power supply once a year which seems to help. The cable contacts are still shiny.
