sounds like a redirected scam.
pay by postal money order. never give out your ssn.
i dont use pay pal or electronic money of any kind. if you dont like my green backs, i dont need your products!
everyone is entitled to an opinion, even you.
why would you not trust a postal money order?
As a buyer, you've got no guarantee you'll get anything shipped to you or what condition it is. You might could try claiming mail fraud to the postmaster, but good luck.
As a seller, you've got potential for fake/forged money orders. Yes even "postal" money orders, which to be fair are the safest.
I started selling on eBay in 1996 with my dad - collectible cards and video game stuff. My mom ran a business selling tens of thousands of items on eBay for decades. Money orders were a big red-flag, and it was the multiple fake/forged postal money orders that finally made her stop dealing with them. That was forever ago. Almost no one online is going to send a MO these days to a stranger on the internet. Some folks here get away with that kinda thing here because the forum personalities are "known entities" but at this point in history a money order is just a massive liability. And while we are on the topic of money transfers, checks are also incredibly dumb and need to go away. It's the 21st century!
thats just weird to me. ive been in business for 55 years n never had any of those problems with customers.
as a buyer... ive also bought atons of equipment and supplies via forums like this n never had any problems with postal money orders.
