11kg for the pack alone or with the 2 heads?

Guess I'm keeping my 10-year-old Profotos a while longer.

My 4 Einsteins still better for me

2400 watts from the 4 and I never use full power from all 4

If shooting Digi, they can be easily dialed way down

8 years I think, one failed modeling lamp so far

    I keep spares JIC

I will buy new Buff products soon

    Gulp.

OTOH, among all the new digital-oriented monolights and shoe-mounted flashes the Profoto line now offers only a single pack, the Pro-11, at the bargain price of... $16,995.

Guess I too am going to be nursing my ~10-year-old Profoto outfit for as long as I can.

In fairness, I should add that for whatever reason, Profoto decided to retreat to the very top of the high end in the pack market - the Pro-11 seems to be by far the most expensive 2400-ws pack out there. But looking at current 2400-ws pack offerings at B&H, the Godox, although far cheaper than Profoto, is the next most expensive. Interesting strategy on their part - we'll see if that price is defensible. Yes, I know part of it is all of the schmancy new electronic controls.
