It's not clear to me from the pictures. How does the focusing work on the Wehman?

I was thinking the same thing. The old website doesn't seem to enlighten much, and many pics were broken when I looked.

I read the instructions and the description of how to adjust the rear swing had me lose much of my interest in copying this...maybe it's just not worded well, and the real thing is much better than the instructions make it sound. Impression from reading was that it's really kludgy and fiddly. Still really like the overall concept of the design, but maybe reimagine the mechanicals.

Geared focusing is at the rear standard, the front is moved along the bed according to focal length of lens used. You use the knobs on either side of the camera for that and also for rear swing.
Focusing can be loose, tight or locked, there's another knob at the back that controls focusing tension.

Thanks, Ari. I got a bit of a glimpse of the tensioner. If you ever feel like taking some pictures of the mechanisms, that would be wonderful.

I have had mine for about 3 years, and still despise the rear swings. They screw up everything I have done for over 80 years.

I had to work a long time to figure out the rear swing works. You lock one side, I forget which, then adjust the other to get the effect you want. It works, but it’s so different I don’t care for it.

We do need better pictures of all detail

I thought the folding 'lid' covered the GG?

    Maybe not

It does cover the "ground glass." Dependent on weather I will get some photos over the weekend.
