Attaching Manual Base to Paterson Orbital?

    Hi,

I hope someone can help me. I have just gotten a Paterson Orbital processor from Ebay and while it looks to be in good condition, I can't figure out how to attach the round manual plastic base to the tank. The base has a smooth round peg and the tank bottom has a small hollow opening with a bar in the middle. There are no other parts I can see.
I have written to the merchant but am wondering if I am missing something since he has another one on sale and they both look like this? See photos

It doesn’t attach, it just sits on top and is rotated by hand to swirl the chemistry around inside.
