    Testing Omega Voltage Stabilizer

Is there a simple way to test the functionality of an Omega voltage stabilizer, the one used with the Super Chromega D Dichroic II and the 412-021 power supply ? The Super Chromega head works fine when plugged directly into the power supply. However, when plugged into the power supply via the 404-841 voltage stabilizer, the main lamp in the head will NOT turn on. The small lamp illuminating the control panel does light. Is the voltage stabilizer bad ? Anything I can/shouild check before pitching it ?

    Thanks for guidance.

Wow, even if I knew the answer, I'd be too hesitant to recommend anything online to do with high voltage equipment! Good luck!
About all you can do (as I see it) is to check the stabilizer for output (safely! as with a light bulb) or a visual check of connections. I hope you can find a repair shop with a reasonable fee.

Leave the stabilizer out of the circuit.

Yeh. Appreciate the guidance. Not going to overthink this. Everything works fine without the stabilizer, so why dork it up with an extra box in the circuit. Thought it might have some added benefit, especially since the stabilizer came to me with no cost, and looked to be "new old stock" from an expired shop. Was worth a try.

    Thanks again.
