how to mount a 12" red dot artar to a Canham board

hi all,

I was able to pick up a 12" red dot atar recently but it looks like I need some kind of space to be able to mount it to my Canham lens board.

any ideas on the best way without breaking the bank?

Why do you need “space”?

was trying to use the retainer like a copal shutter as I dont want to drill into the board but think I found a solution thanks
