Well, I cannot locate the catalog, it is in a secure location, so secure I can't find...
Nonetheless, it is a 1950's Studio Stand made specifically for cameras like this, the top plate on your stand removes and mounts the very heavy Linhof like this, a picture of what I have now.

Are you sure it's not a structural support of some kind? You don't need your roof collapsing with the next snow.
