I've stumbled onto almost new "mint" Pentax meters for that kind of price. George charged $75- $100 for internal cleaning and recalibration. Not bad, since a couple of them accidentally got dunked in high country ice water. My custom was to set aside a brand new meter and use it only for periodically checking the others. That worked well for a long time. Now that one has come out of reserve and I'm down to two good ones. Hope they last the duration of my needs. But if I stumble onto another clean bargain, I'll grab it.
