Technique for focusing "into your scene"

Alan, if this is repetitive apologies, but have you seen this type of diagram (attached)? It's a simplified picture to illustrate what goes on in the case of lens tilt (for example). Might help in visualizing what happens and aid in the discussion.

Thanks for that. I just thought it was strange the way the portion in the middle came up slightly out of focus. I guess that has to dow with the movement I made? But it's hard for me to visualize.
